Kids Zone Gallery

A month of continuous preparation and painting. Have a look through the series of progress stages of Bertram's Kids Zone. The first dedicated Orange sized court on the Wirral.
The Back Court before work began
31st January 2009
First job was to Paint the side wall white
Glyn, Alistair & Dave Martin painted the first white coat. Dave and Matt Hope, from Kingsmead School, completed the green hitting walls in double quick time. The full team pictured paint the white wall with a second coat - 28th February 2009
The black silhouette boxes get started
Glyn lays out the boxes to Shona Coppin's Design. 26th March 2009.
All the boxes completed - 1st April 2009
Shona designed the boxes at different angles to give better action profiles
The action silhouttes are painted in
Matt projected the figure outines onto the wall and then he and Glyn painted in the blue figures. 1st & 2nd April 2009

Great Meols Primary School Parents & kids paint the Green base
Over two Saturdays a number of parents and their children painted the last large section - the base of the wall. (4th & 11th April)
The Court painters arrive and make a huge impact
23rd April and the professionals turn up to lay out the dimensions of the new Orange Court
The 'Your Wirral' Box gets completed.
Matt & Glyn worked on this box. Believe us the wording is not easy to paint onto breeze blocks. Dave Martin & Glyn hung the PWP Windbreak. Claire & the West Kirby Grammar School girls completed the kids hitting wall. (All finished 30th April - just in time for Open Day). See our Open Day gallery for the completed court.
